Worked as a pharmacist specialising in surgery since completing her postgraduate diploma in 2006

Developed an interest in Perioperative Medicine as the Lead Pre-operative Assessment Pharmacist at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

In 2019, Sarah was involved in the re-development of the UKCPA Handbook of Perioperative Medicines. She continues to be a co-author for this free-to-access, online, evidence-based resource, aiming to standardise the perioperative management of medication nationally

Qualified as an independent prescriber in perioperative optimisation for conditions such as hypertension, anaemia, and atrial fibrillation

Currently undertaking the MSc in Perioperative Medicine at UCL and wants to continue to develop her expertise and further contribute to education in this area

Education Faculty Lead for The Preoperative Association and supports with the education of perioperative medication management for the Preoperative Assessment Foundation course and Master’s degree module.
