Trainee in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine

James is a specialty trainee in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine (ST4) in the North East and currently out of programme undertaking a PhD surrounding facilitated, self-managed prehabilitation prior to major surgery.

This is based at the Northumbria University Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

He is trainee member of the South Tees perioperative medicine research group and PREPWELL prehabilitation service. He has a developing interest in perioperative medicine, particularly the preassessment and optimization of patients for major surgery.
