The Preoperative Association Research Grant is awarded up to a limit of £5000 to cover all, or part costs, for research projects in the field of Preoperative medicine.

The grant will be awarded in open competition across Great Britain following a peer review process. The research funded will have clear benefit to the NHS and take into account DOH and NHS priorities. Owing to the limited funds available we are not usually able to fund salaries, although each individual application will be considered on its own merits.

The Preoperative Association travel and bursaries (maximum £1000 to cover full or partial costs) will be awarded for developing and implementing projects in the field of Preoperative Medicine. The bursary will be awarded to members of the multidisciplinary teams (nursing, allied health care support workers and medical) working in the field of Preoperative Assessments and optimization for surgical procedures who are current members of the Preoperative Association.
